ok, since a lot of people send me that site all the time, as if the mistakes of some individuals who belong to one particular organization are going to make me rethink my dedication to animal liberation....take this, and take it deep.

Regarding Petakillsanimals.com and PhysicianScam.com and other such websites, you should know that they were created by the Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF), long know as a front for the food, beverage, and tobacco industries. They have been known to attack any group that wants to put moderation on any food or drink item, whatsoever.

"The Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) (formerly called the "Guest Choice Network") is a front group for the restaurant, alcohol and tobacco industries. It runs media campaigns which oppose the efforts of scientists, doctors, health advocates, environmentalists and groups like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, calling them "the Nanny Culture -- the growing fraternity of food cops, health care enforcers, anti-meat activists, and meddling bureaucrats who 'know what's best for you.' "

Taken from http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Center_for_Consumer_Freedom

Whether or not you agree with PeTA's tactics, you should not base any of your assumptions on anything the CCF spews out. They will tell you anything in order to be able to continue selling their "gracious contributor's" products to you with no restrictions, no matter how bad it is for you. That's the cost of doing business after all! (Or at least, that's what they'll tell you)

Kind of funny who their main contributor's are. Like Coca-Cola, Tyson Foods, Wendy's, Outback Steakhouse, Pilgrim's Pride, White Castle, Standard Meat, Applebee's, P.F. Chang's, Sugar Foods Corporation, Breyer's Ice Cream, Ruby Tuesday, etc.... Starting to see a pattern here?

Wow, CCF is sure looking out for our interests aren't they?

And as for PeTA euthanizing most of the animals they receive, it is true. Know why? Because they're not a shelter. They get the worst of the worst, mutilated, disfigured, and aggressive animals that don't deserve any more pain from a world that has shown them hatred. My best friend interns at PeTA twice a year, and she sees it first-hand. She states that if these animals weren't euthanized, they would slowly die a painful death, or be taken to shelters where they would be euthanized anyway. PeTA just gets the bad publicity for doing what any compassionate person would do, because they are the most outspoken.

Here is PCRM's response against CCF's mud-slinging. http://www.pcrm.org/news/pcrmresponds.html

Thank you for your time, I hope this helps those who had questions regarding these websites.

What balls...
for PETA to be going on with the "Bloody Bucket" campaign, and other radical campaigns that they have started, when their own closet is full of skeletons.

As speculated earlier, by this community, PETA's actions concenring it's shelters are less than ethical.

Kindly crossposted, as taken from a friend of no_more_peta :

We are in no way affilliated with this group, but I personally would like to be. If any of the admins from petakillsanimals.com stumble across this, please e-mail me: cyn1c4l@gmail.com as I would like to volunteer some services, including hosting, storage and intelligence.

I need help
If this isn't allowed I will delete it.
I'm writing an editorial on vegetarians vs meat eaters and I need some help.
If someone/everyone can please fill this out and just comment here or in my journal that would be great!! thanks so much.

How long have you been eating meat?
Have you ever thought about becoming a vegetarian?
Why or why not?
What benefits do you receive by eating meat?
What are the downsides?
Do you receive comments from others?
What kind?
Do you eat vegetables/tofu/organic foods?
What do you think about vegetarians ?
What is your favorite dish?

You don't have to give a real name. I can make up a last name that's fine. Thank you so much ahead!!

Activists want fish off aquarium menu
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - An animal rights group has called on one of the largest aquariums in the United States to stop serving fish to its visitors, likening the practice to grilling up "poodle burgers at a dog show."

Eat knowing fish have less feelings than hotdogs and hanburger patties

And what next? I can't have a bbq at a cemetary?

AHOSKIE, N.C. - Two employees of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals were charged with animal cruelty for allegedly picking up dogs and cats from shelters and dumping their dead bodies in the garbage.

Police said they found 18 dead animals in the bin and 13 more in a van registered to the activist group, all from shelters in the state's northeastern corner.

Investigators arrested the two workers after staking out a garbage bin where animals had previously been dumped, police said Thursday.

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said the workers were picking up animals to be brought to PETA headquarters for euthanization. Veterinarians and animal control officers said the PETA workers had promised to find homes for the animals rather than euthanize them, according to police.

Neither police nor PETA offered any theory on why the animals might have been dumped.

PETA spokeswoman Colleen O'Brien said the organization euthanizes animals by lethal injection, which it considers more humane than gassing animals in groups, as some counties do.

The group scheduled a news conference Friday in Norfolk, Va., where the group is based.

Police charged Andrew Benjamin Cook, 24, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Adria Joy Hinkle, 27, of Norfolk, Va., each with 31 felony counts of animal cruelty and eight misdemeanor counts of illegal disposal of dead animals. They were released on bond.

No home telephone number was listed for either Hinkle or Cook, and a message left for Cook at PETA headquarters was not returned. A PETA spokesman said he did not know how to reach Hinkle.

I ordered a CD for a vegan friend of mine...
The story:
I met some girl on the internet selling a textbook I needed. She asked for 70, I agreed.

So to make 70 doillars, I was planning on hitting up the ATM for 80, spending 1 or 2 to break a 20 and volia!

But as my own planning always is, I'm short on time. So i ask him for 10 dollars.

To pay him back, he said why not find something off his amazon.com wishlist instead. Fine by me! (I was ordering a book anyway), and ordering the CD got me 11 dollars closer to *free shipping*

So I ordered and the box arrived today.

I open up the box and this is what I find.

Apparently my website (http://mockingbirdlane,bravepages.com) has been deleted. I'm not sure of the reasons why. If anyone has anything from the website saved(pictures, graphics, text or anything at all) please contact me. I'm going to also have to find somewhere to put the new site up. I've been dicked around too much lately by everyone and everything. When I get it all back together I need it to be somewhere where I won't have to worry. Contact me at: Mockingbird_Lane@hotmail.com

If this is not supoosed to be posted in this group I apologize... just delete it.

I have to say that this community is the silliest thing i have ever seen
peta entire platform is not soley based on getting people to stop eating meat. they are against things like animal testing and how animals are treated before they are turned into your dinner.
so maybe you should do a little investigating before you go putting down an organization that you know nothing about.
cows may be eaten, but they shouldnt be killed in a brutal manner, nor tortured before they are dead.

Some thoughts
I came across this community in an activist community, and I stated this opinion there and I am going to do so here now as well: I have to say this...I have met many peta members, and I have not met a bunch of more honest, loyal and hard working people in my life. These people work below the poverty line to try to expose the truth about animal suffering. They believe that animals are here on this earth for their own reasons, not to be our slaves.Even if you don't agree with all of PETA's tactics, please realize their heart is in the right place, and they are fighting a fight that is a constant uphill battle, and that most people don't want to address.

You guys are beating up on the little guys here...not cool. Besides, dont you have any better way of wasting your time? More important causes to worry about? whatever. I dont support everything peta does, and im not a member of their group, hell, I even eat meat and own leather items, but this whole anti-peta thing is fucking lame.

Oh, and it would be pretty cool if you guys tried to be a little more open-minded and friendly about all this..the whole basis of your community is centered around hate/intolerance.

Like I said, I eat meat, but some of the things you guys are saying..is just complete bullshit
try reading up on this topic before you make such judgments...

Even though I am not veg, I still aknowledge some of what they are saying as true.

anyways, thats all I really wanted to say..im not going to bother coming back here, so your comments wont be read by me. If you have anything to say to me, IM me at Starlette1888

My Personal Doctrine
Now, my (and my comrades) beliefs/morals have been called under scrutiny by pro-PETA whiners In my belief, I am right, and everyone else is wrong. Just kidding.

In all seriousness though, my beliefs are as follows:

My Doctrine

I believe that ever organism on this Earth has a right to live. If you look at it from a scientific point of view, every organism strives to maintain life. If you (as I did when I was a stupid kid) perform the magnifiying glass vs. ant trick, you'll see the ant try and flee for its life. Unbeknownst to the ant my size 13 boot was on the other side of the glass.

These sins that I have performed I have already paid my dues, and am continuing to pay the consequences for them.

Although I believe every organism has a right to live, Humans equally have a right to live. I support the death of organisms for the sake of food. To hunt is not a crime in my eyes, nor shall it be considered so. It's the food chain. Deal with it people.

I believe that we require meat to live a natural existence, and keep nature in the natural balance of things. If you notice, nature has a way of maintaining an equilibrium. For example: If we were to eliminate all birds, then insects would rule the world in under a week. If we were to eliminate all insects, then the proteins and enzymes that the Earth gets from decaying insects, insect stool, etc.

By these animal-rights fundementalists stopping the Seal hunt in Newfoundland (and I use this as an example, because I can relate directly to it), they have forever changed the ecosystem. Without us hunting the Seal, the seal population has increased exponentially to now, where it is at least 5,000,000 (http://us.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/americas/04/12/newfoundland.seals/), thus killing the Cod fishing industry. So whilst Greenpeace tried (in the 70s) to protect the defenseless Seals, instead of letting nature deal with any discrepencies, they ended a way of life for an entire island.

I believe that poaching is wrong. To end an orgranisms life for the sake of sport, is evil. It is very wrong, and I do not support it at all. In fact, I try not to kill mosquitos or flys either.

The purpose of no_more_peta is not to be "different", and not for the purpose of "rebelling against society". The purpose of this community (at least in my eyes) is to put forth an alternative. Please, if you ARE a pro-animal-rights person, feel free to post your opinions. In fact I would welcome them. Do not let yourself be blanketed by PETA, and have yourself pigeon-holed as one of "those people". Be an individual.

I believe that PETA (and Greenpeace) are the most evil organizations to blemish the face of this planet under the false pretenses of saving our world. These organizations like to protest an oil rig from a rusty old ship that is pumping out thousands of gallons of oil an hour. They protest animal rights over a "vegetarian meal", which consists of a salad with a salad dressing comprised of animal by-products.

I have no time for double-standards, and even less time for hypocrites.

I hope that you have learned something from my doctrine.

NOTE: The preceeding views are my own, and in no way reflect those of no_more_peta, so please use discretion when replying to these views, and be intelligent.

For all those activists who are frothing at the mouth and have come forth to protest about how evil I am and are itching to publicly flame me:

agreed "NO MORE PETA"
I work at petco, and i am so sick of hearing about "peta"
it's annoying. They make the stupidest accusations. Didn't they just buy a huge share in Petsmart? and why does petsmart get no negative words??? I have been to petsmarts all around the states, and everyone i go to they don't know shit, they can't answer any questions, and at about a 50 percent ratio i see dead animals in their cages, the people that work there are too stupid to be able to tell when the animals need to be seen by a veterinarian asap, so they die in the cages. At petco you get sent to so much training and the animals are always well taken care of they just have soo much support for the animals like the catchy phrase says "petco where pets come first" seriously im soo sick of hearing about peta, currently i think they are a bunch of homos, they are hypocritical and just plain pathetic. now don't get me wrong about animals...i love them i have so much love for them.
